Position Overview

As a key player in our team, you will support the Business and Enterprise Systems (BES) Directorate in achieving compliance with Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) and Federal Information Systems Control Audit Manual (FISCAM). This role offers a unique opportunity to enhance project management and software development capabilities while securing code integrity and ensuring compliance management.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage actively in various project tasks addressing specialized cybersecurity challenges, and integrate electronic processes to resolve security issues.
- Assist in planning, designing, and developing information systems with a robust focus on security throughout the development lifecycle.
- Support assessment and authorization (A&A) processes for DoD information systems, adhering to rigorous DoD and Air Force protocols.
- Utilize eMASS for documenting security control test outcomes and managing Risk Management Framework (RMF) artifacts.
- Lead initiatives to mitigate vulnerabilities identified in security scans.
- Formulate System Security Plans utilizing RMF methodologies for DoD IT systems.
- Conduct Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) reviews and remediation to maintain security compliance.
- Develop and implement policies that align with both business requirements and user needs.
- Define system requirements based on user/client needs and integration with existing systems.
- Establish technical standards and conduct functionality tests, potentially developing specifications and initial user guides.
- Collaborate with project managers, developers, and end-users to ensure designs meet both business and cybersecurity requirements.
- Lead teams responsible for application systems and programming efforts.
- Provide operational support to project development and software testing teams, navigating complex technical strategies.
- Conduct configuration management of information systems within the customer's data center.
- Continuously update knowledge of cybersecurity and software engineering practices to achieve team objectives effectively.
Required Skills
- DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, SSCP, GSEC).
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 6 years of direct experience in cybersecurity support.
- Active Secret Clearance is required.
